Friends for Life

Two posts in 2 days, I am doing good! ha Well last night 2 of my friends that I have grown up with came over and we slept in the shed! It was probably the last night we will all be together. :( I don't like this. We have always been just a mile away from each other, but now Me and Kendra are going off to college! Kendra will be going to Central Wyoming to play Basketball and Volleyball. And Brianne will be a senior this year. But anyways, we had to have one last night together. We just talked about what girls talk about... Boys :) haha They were being so funny, we were telling our cutest kiss stories, and I told them mine and they kept saying, "oh my gosh i hate you! your life is like a fairytale!" haha Sometimes it doesn't seem like a fairytale... my prince isn't even here! ha But when he is here, it is pretty perfect :) They told me to go get one of his sweatshirts and spray some of his cologne on it for them hahaha they are dweebs. So I did and they were in heaven, we also watched lion king until we all fell asleep. We have had a lot of good times together over the past 18 years, I'm sad to be saying goodbye to them, but it's not forever. Hopefully we can reunite one day :)
I've been thinking a lot about college lately! And I am very excited!  I think it will be way fun, but I am also nervous about leaving everything. It will be sad, but I won't be too far away I can always come visit! I found this song by Carrie Underwood and it makes me cry every time I watch it...

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July everyone!! I know I'm a couple days late, but that's okay right? :) To start off the week I started my new job! But then 2 days later I quit! whoops.. I guess I'm just not a sales person. 

On the 3rd of July we went to my Uncle Robby's house to watch the fireworks, they live in Logan so it was kinda close to the stadium where the fireworks were. I spent the whole time trying to get good pictures of green fireworks!!!! haha The pictures down below are hard to tell but they are green :) 

Me and Whit slept over at my grandma Spackman's house with some of our cousins on Friday night. It was fun even though I am way older than all of them. I have always wished I had cousins that were my age! 

On Saturday me, my mom, and Whitney went to Newton to go boating with the Kelsey's and the Munk's! It was bunches of fun!! I got to wakeboard! I can't do anything cool yet... but I can at least stay up for a while now! When I went to Lake Powell with them last year they taught me how and I haven't gone since, so it was good to go again :) I am SO SORE now though! My neck and back are killing me... This morning I couldn't move. But it's okay, the fun outweighs the pain. Me and Whit also went to the cruise in last night and sat on Trev and Kierst's trailer, it was fun! It started raining but... in the words of Luke Bryan, "rain is a good thing" :) Rain is my favorite weather actually, I love it :)

Even though I love being with Klay's family, it makes me miss him even more. Because it makes me remember this time last year when we were doing everything together, like going boating and going to the cruise in and stuff. This morning I started crying cause i just want him here. It's hard, but we will make it :) 655 days left!

Nashville!

This past week I got to spend in Nashville Tennessee for HOSA nationals!! It was a blast, I didn't want to leave! Everyone was so nice there. With a lot of prayers and some studying I was able to place 11th in Dental Spelling. Not bad for Nationals right? Without the help of the Lord there is no way I would have been able to make it that far. But besides the HOSA part, Tennessee was amazing! Sadly, I didn't see any famous Country music stars there, but it was still way fun! Some of the things we did were, go to the Wild Horse Saloon, go swimming, go to the mall, go to the Country Music Hall of Fame, went downtown, ate a lot, and saw World War Z! I also went on my first plane ride, and took my first ride in a taxi! haha Overall it was a great week and I'm very glad I got to go!

Yesterday was email day!!!! wahoo! I love Mondays. I have gotten to chat with him back and forth for 2 weeks in a row now and I love it! It makes me feel like we're not 5000 miles away anymore! They haven't had a baptism yet but He says they are SO CLOSE! I hope that they get one soon. His mail only comes like once a month... so that sucks. But he says he is going to send me a lot of letters once it does come! I hope all of my letters get to him soon also!! Only 660 days left! :)

This is my friend Jarin. Before Klay left, klay gave jarin all of his tanks and told  him that he could have them if he promised to work hard to go to the temple and get garments! They are so much alike haha they could be brothers.

I got a massage in this wonderful chair... it felt awesome.

This is a place where we ate dinner one night called Ribby's. There was a live band playing and they were pretty dang good y'all! It was so fun to listen to them while we ate!

Ben Carson came to speak to us at opening ceremonies!!! AHHH!! He is an amazing person, if you haven't heard of him go look him up. He is a very smart man and I look up to him a lot!

The krew again... There was an elevator with a mirror at the top! We found it once and it took us forever to find it again! But we finally found it right before we were leaving and we had to take a pic.

Not a very good picture, but this is me after swimmin! The pool had music under water!!! It was the coolest thing ever! Haha we kept putting one ear underwater so we could listen to it, we probably looked like nerds but oh well :)

Well I remember when Klay first left and I bought that countdown and I thought, oh my goodness I have so many days to wait! ha but then I thought okay just take it one letter at a time and it will be okay, and one is finally done! only 12 left! :) I took these pictures the other day, today he only has 675 days left :) For some reason every Monday my email decides to stop working correctly and it is very inconvenient... Klay always wants to chat back and forth but then my email sends it to me way late. like he was emailing at like 10 today and I just barely got one of his emails...it's frustrating but oh well, at least I get to email him right? :) he said he hadn't gotten anything in the mail for like over a month :( I feel bad. I have sent him like 6 letters that he hasn't received yet. I guess they just bring them mail occasionally in a big package so he will probably get them all at the same time, that will be an exciting day I guess! haha I am bummed out that I don't get to send him any packages... it is just too much money :( but I see all this stuff on pinterest and on other blogs that I want to send him and I can't! it is really frustrating. I sure do miss him though! I can't wait to see his smiling face again :) I have been working on my quilt a lot lately, it has mostly just been a lot of cutting but I finally get to start sewing! we layed it all out today and i'm so excited it looks cute! :) it will be a bit smaller with all the seams but it is still going to be pretty big.

When I first started watching it, it made me think of Klay and how I will get to see him again in 2 years and it will be an amazing day to finally get to see him!!! But after I watched the whole video it made me realize that the song was about death and losing a loved one, and what comfort that is that we can see them again one day, death isn't the end :)

Life is Precious

I am truly blessed. I got in a car wreck with my brother and my cousin Dillon today coming home from my first day of the singles ward. We were driving home and we had the top down, and all of the sudden some papers started flying out, so we were trying to catch the papers and stop the other ones from flying out. They distracted Cole, who was driving, and when he looked up we were at a sharp curve in the road. So he turned sharply and then turned again so we wouldn't run off the road and we over corrected and slid into a fence. It was probably the scariest thing of my life. I truly saw my life flash before my eyes. And when we came to a stop the first thing my brother did was turn around and say, "Lacey, are you ok?" It means a lot to me to have such an amazing brother that cares so much about me. None of us got hurt, which is a true miracle because none of us were wearing our seatbelts. We were just a little shaken up at the whole situation. But I know the Lord was watching over and protecting us. He must need us to stay here longer for some reason.

I also got to go over to my other family, the Kelsey's, house today. It was really good for me to see them. They are going through a very hard time. They are such a wonderful family and I am happy to say that I love each and every one of them. Through the death of their brother/son and through my accident today I have realized how precious life really is. Something terrible can happen in the blink of an eye. I hope that we can all cherish every moment that we have in this short life.
