Happy Graduation!

A lot has happened this week and last week! To start with, last week we got a new puppy!!! His name is Bo and he is so cute! :) He likes to sleep a lot.. but when he is awake he likes to chew on everything!
Friday my brother told me some big news!! He is engaged!!! :) He showed me the ring that day and then the next day he proposed. I'm excited for Lisa to be part of our family, she is super nice! I'm glad we get along with her so good.
The day after that, Saturday, was senior ball. We went paintballing for our day date, then we went to elements for dinner, the dance after that, and then watched a movie to end the night. I was really nervous that it wasn't going to be fun, but I actually had a lot of fun! And Nick was really respectful about not trying to make moves on me haha so that was a relief :)
Sunday we had our annual memorial day camp out with the Munk's and the Kelsey's! It was bunches of fun!! I'm glad my family and Klay's family get along so good so that we can do stuff like that! And I don't get to see his family as much as I did when he was here, so it was nice to see them again :)
Monday night I got really sick and had the chills and a sore throat, so I mostly just slept.. it sucked :(
 Tuesday I had a scholarship night at Sky View. I got an academic scholarship from Weber and a peppridge farm scholarship! I'm crossing my fingers that I get enough money in scholarships to pay for college! That would be so so helpful and relieving!
Thursday was AMAZING!!!! It started off at 4:53 in the morning! ha I was sleeping and then my phone buzzed and woke me up. It surprised me cause I usually don't wake up to my phone.. but it was my email and Klay Klay had emailed me!! He said, "Lou! are you there??" haha So I hurried and emailed him back and we got to do that for about 30 minutes, it was seriously the best thing ever! I started crying! haha he said, "HIII, It's like we're textin!!" ha And he said, "You look very pretty today" he is so sweet... He used to text me things like that when he was here, he would say that without seeing me, and I would say, "You can't see me silly!" and he would say, "I don't need to see you to know that you look pretty" :) aw he's so cute. He also told me that Elder Cook came to speak to them at the MTC and he got to shake his hand! he was so excited about that :) I would be too... ha I'm jealous. Klay said he gave a congregation wide blessing that the missionaries families would be protected, I think that gave him a lot of comfort :) It's amazing that our general authorities can be inspired to say certain things that the Lord knows will be a blessing to us. Anyway, last night was graduation! I'm am so happy to be done! I had some fun times in high school, but  I am very glad to be able to move on! After graduation we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse with my family and Klay's parents. I'm glad they were able to come, it really meant a lot to me! After that I went to Bear Lake with some of my friends! We all drove down in a big van and stayed up all night! ha well I fell asleep a few times on accident, but they kept waking me up! My voice is completely gone though.. I think I have laryngitis or something... ugh. haha everyone kept making fun of me cause whenever I would scream or anything it would just come our as this high pitched squeak :) it was funny, but it is annoying me now haha. Oh and I broke my tooth eating a starburst! what the heck?? So now I probably need to go to the dentist... my least favorite place. Maybe I will get a fake tooth? weird.

1 month!

oh my gosh it has already been a whole month since Klay left! It is surprising how fast this past month has gone by, Heavenly Father is definitely answering my prayers. Tomorrow we will have been together for one year and 2 months! :) This week I graduated from seminary, I am happy I was able to take seminary, even though it was hard to wake up for early morning sometimes. It definitely strengthened my testimony and increased my knowledge of the scriptures. Also this week I got asked to senior ball. It will be fun, but I am nervous to tell Klay, I don't want it to make him sad. I just wish Klay was here to take me so I wouldn't have to worry about it haha However, I am very happy that he is where he is.

Busy Busy Bee

Oh my goodness I have been busy lately! Which is good and bad I guess, ha it makes the time go by faster. I have been studying like crazy for finals, along with trying to get everything ready for graduation, while trying to keep up with writing Klay. But I'm not complaining. :) I realized this week that I am extremely blessed to have everything that I do, and my new goal is to look at everything positively and not complain.:) I got another letter yesterday and it made me so so so happy cause I wasn't expecting one at all! And it was really long, I guess he must have had a lot of time to write last week :) Oh boy do I miss him! But it is so good for both of us :) I can already see blessings coming to me, and to him. He really likes  to write spanish in his letters I think because he does it a lot, which is fine with me because I can translate most of it, I just can't write in spanish back to him.
I got my senior pictures done today from my beautiful almost-sister Kiersten :) She is always so good about taking pictures for me, and I love it! My own personal photographer :) I will post some when she gives them to me. I can't believe I am graduating in 15 days! That is so crazy! I still remember thinking my brother was so old when he was a senior, but I don't feel that old at all haha I am excited to move on to bigger and better things than high school, but I will always be a bobcat :) These are some pictures i found on my camera today :)

FIRST LETTER!! :)

I got my first letter from Klay yesterday!!!! I was so excited when his dad texted me and told me that they had a letter for me from Klay. It gave me so much comfort to know that he is doing good and that he is happy. I was nervous all of yesterday that I was going to open the letter to find out that he didn't want me anymore, or that he was coming home or something. haha but that wasn't what his letter was like at all. Now it seems silly that I was even thinking of that. And on top of that, he sent me my first email this morning!!! So I am just a really happy girl right now!! :) In his email, he told me that has told all of the hermanas (sisters) about me haha He is so sweet :) I'm glad he is proud to tell people about me, but I can also tell that he is focused on learning spanish and studying the gospel! I am so happy that we stayed good while he was here so that he would be worthy to go on his mission, it is definitely going to bless both of us.
Other than that, I am a busy bee. I have been filling out some scholarships, getting ready for finals, and I am trying to raise money to go to nationals for HOSA in Nashville! I am going to be selling fat boys and cascos from Caspers soon, so if you are interested let me know! :)

THE LETTER!!! :)

Koko and Brielle

On Friday I got together with one of my best friends, Kaylee! We have been friends since we were freshman, but I never see her anymore, so it was good to talk to her and find out what is going on in her life. We went to the boy's soccer game... but they didn't win... bummer. Then after that we went to another friend's house and had a girls night! We painted our nails and just talked. Even though I miss  hanging out with Klay a ton, it was good to be with the girls again :)
Then Klay's Brother, Kolten (Koko) and his fiance, Brielle got married yesterday! Yay! :) They got married in the Logan temple. I couldn't go cause I don't have my endowments yet...  but I got to babysit Kiersten's cute kids while they were at the wedding. Then I drove them up to the temple so we could see koko and brielle walk out and so the kids could be in the pictures :) Then we waited and waited at the temple while they were taking pictures. It was good to see Klay's family again. I am happy that I love all of them and I can definitely see them being my family one day :)

Good News!

Good news! So yesterday was Klay's birthday, and since I hadn't heard from him yet, I didn't get to email him and tell him happy birthday.. it was kinda sad.. But! my mom wrote him and told him happy birthday and she told him that I was following the rules and that I wasn't going to email until I had permission. Well, he emailed her back this morning!!! I was so excited when she forwarded it to me! Cause I kept checking my email every 10 minutes...and there was finally something there from him! haha (I don't do anything in school). :) Anyway, he told her that I am allowed to write him emails as much as I want, and I am so happy about it! :) Writing letters is fun too, and I still want to do that because I think it is going to be fun to go back and read through all of them on bad days, but emailing is good cause if I want to tell him something quick then I can :) I hurried and wrote him back, but then I realized he sent it to my mom 2 hours earlier, so he probably won't see that one until next week haha oh well.
One thing about me and Klay is that we have both been saving up for when he gets back. So every time we would babysit, or save money with coupons or whatever, we would put that money into our savings for us. And since I can't really send him anything because it is so much money, he told me to just use that money and put it in our savings :) So yesterday for his birthday I put some money in that I would have used to buy his birthday present... hopefully I can get him something good for his birthday right after he gets back :)

Some other good news is that I got to go to a scholarship banquet yesterday because I am getting a scholarship from Bridgerland ATC! I am planning on taking the phlebotomy class there this summer so that I will be able to draw blood and make some money while I am going to college at Weber :) funnn right? And that scholarship will cover the cost of the whole class so I won't have to pay anything! At the banquet, Mark Eaton spoke. I didn't know who he was :) haha but my parents were pretty excited about it.
